Let me preface this list by saying two things. With a few years of residency under my belt, I will try to answer the most important question: what are the ten best books for ophthalmology residents. Though I had been told this many times prior to ophthalmology residency, I was still shocked but the amount of pathology that occurs in the eye. Most doctors assume that it must be quite simple to learn everything you need to know about one small organ. No one outside of ophthalmology can truly appreciate the breadth and depth of this specialty.
